i was thrilled to photograph my first smitten bride who is expecting a baby in january!  sara & travis had a heavenly wedding day in the mountains of north carolina earlier this year & two months after tying the knot, sara found out she was expecting a baby!  they are having a little girl, who has been affectionately named "baby j" and she will be making her debut sometime in the next four weeks.  

we had another gorgeous evening for our photo shoot & i couldn't help but get carried away with the vintage feel of these photos with the perfect setting around us.  hope you enjoy my favorites...

it is such a special treat for me to be able to photograph my friends family's!  i have been looking forward to one of my best friends, nicole, in the belly shoot for quite some time.  she is due two weeks before me & it has been so much fun having her to laugh with, cry with & bump belly's every time we hug. 

this is baby #1 for brad & nicole & they are going to be surprised on "d" day of whether the baby is a boy or girl.  it has been the hardest not knowing what they are having because it will, of course, determine whether we arrange marriage or get ready for some mischief from best little buddies.  :)

these are some of my favorite belly shots ever - probably because 1.  the light was so perfectly sweet, 2. nicole was looking gorgeous with her bluest of blue eyes,  3.  i dug up some really fun locations, & 4.  it was easy to make her laugh :)

so, i am officially having my own belly photos made with the amazing kristin byrum - a charlotte photographer - sometime in the next two weeks!  we are trading shoots with each other & i am actually really excited about having these done with little guido on the horizon soon!

thankful belly

today i had the pleasure of shooting in the belly photos for one of my friends from high school! dana & her hubby, dave, flew into north carolina from colorado last weekend to spend thanksgiving with her family. we haven't seen each other in so many years & she contacted me last week about doing some belly shots of her over the holidays. it was a beautiful afternoon & dana was glowing with joy as she embraced the growing girl in her tummy. she is due in february & i can't wait to hear the big name reveal! here are some of my favorites...

thanks so much to anna and michael for such a FUN shoot this morning!! they are expecting their first baby, a girl, in early september. they are keeping her name a secret until she is born...i told anna that i admired her self control because it will make the moment so fun when she arrives & they can announce her to the world!
anna was radiant this morning, and we had some great & glowy sun to help us make the pictures AMAZING!

arin's glow...

this morning was amazing. the sun rose in the 6 o'clock hour & with it came a beautiful glow that lasted for a couple of hours. arin and i met at 7:30 and headed to shoot her maternity photos. she is one of the most naturally beautiful people i know. she was so graceful in front of the camera & the camera LOVED her! i love capturing moments like these...the wonder of what the baby will look like & who he will be. i squealed during our time together as i saw the images come to life! here are some of my favorites:

arin's daughter, lilli, is 2 years old. we wanted to capture some special moments with mommy & baby liam.

arin, it was so fun running around in that wet field this morning!! :) i hope you will cherish these pictures for years to come...i love you and can't wait to meet baby liam!
